kevin charlie - simple, elegant, delicious.
about kevin

Kevin shares with you his wealth of knowledge of all things simple, elegant and delicious. His passion for food, style and entertaining is realized in everything that he does.

Kevin's earliest memories of food date back to Kindergarten. He remembers that each student in the class had to bring in their favourite sweet recipe and their teacher Mrs. Staples typed all of the recipes and assembled them into a book of which they designed their own covers. He also remembers creating mini pizzas using english muffins as a base and applying tomato sauce, various vegetable toppings, cheese and then baking them for lunch. It was at that early moment in his life that his passion for food came about.

Kevin's passion for food is not so elementary now. He has the ability to take very few simple ingredients and create something mouth watering and delicious. With that same element of passion, with his keen eye for detail and style, a work of art is created.

Having worked with some of Toronto's finest pastry chefs, restaurant managers, event planners, bakers and food stylists, Kevin brings a certain air of originality, enthusiasm and creativity to everything he does.

Along with his passion for food, Kevin takes a particular interest in photography and the sensuality and erotica of food. Extreme close-ups of food on a plate capturing the detail of a crumb or the drizzle of a dressing on a salad seizes that moment in time of a delicious dessert or a memorable meal.
