Los Angeles, California

A lot of you have been asking about this or giving me well wishes for my time there… well - I actually haven’t gone yet…. not until I fly out on the 8′th of September. Let me give you the details:

I’m heading to L.A. for a wedding photography conference hosted by Pictage for 3 days. I will be among the worlds best wedding photographers and will be taking part in seminars and workshops to learn, network and connect with many amazing photographers from around the world, and to further develop my skill and business sense as a photographer.

I discovered Pictage early this year. I checked out their site, read all of the information and was tempted - but wasn’t sure if I would become a member. I was a bit skeptical at first [as I'm usually cautious with every new venture I undergo]… but after some gentle proding and Pictage gently ‘bugging’ me to join with ‘nothing to lose’, I decided to bite the bullet and join Pictage.

Pictage is a full-service solution to professional photographers offering high-end quality professional prints, albums, coffee table books - as well as other products to the worlds best photographers and their clients. Basically in a ‘nutshell’ they offer the back-end service of taking care of my professional prints for all of my clients.

Pictage has an extremely strong community - from wedding photographers just starting out in the business [like me] to some of the worlds ‘Top 10′ wedding photographers who easily receive $15,000+ per wedding. This will be an invaluable opportunity for me to learn from them, network and develop new professional friendships.

I’m so excited to be going and being a part of this amazing conference!

This will be my very first time travelling a great distance on my own [outside of my travels with Whole Foods Market and new store openings] … and quite honestly - I’m very curious to know what the Pacific ocean air smells like [as silly as that may seem...] I can’t wait!!! I don’t think that I’ll have time to ‘explore’ parts of California - but just the sense of being there for this conference really excites me!

Hope this answers some of your questions - and stay tuned for more info!
